The concept of these ‘Status Rings’ started with the questioning of object value. If these rings would ever be realised, their value would show the social status of the wearer: the higher the ring; the more precious stones and materials it contains; the more itʼs worth; the higher the status of the wearer. Different layers could be stacked untill the desired height is acquired, stability could be improved by using different rings as base. Additionally, each shown ring has a distinct middle layer in which gems are enclosed with the use of nontraditional methods in jewelry creation.
