‘Ashtray’ is an objectified idea of the basic expression “The bigger, the better”. This trope has been used in many fictional and non-fictional media to emphasize the significance of an object when it contains more of a given characteristic. In this instance, the derivative shape of an ashtray was scaled up to over 600%, allowing this new object to obtain other purposes than only that of an ashtray. Made on commision for ‘PAND Heerlen.
